Love's a game, wanna play?

It's been quite a while since I've been writing blogs. But not even for once have I written a blog on something more relatable for teenagers, people around my age. So, this is my first blog as a treat for them. Something that can interest them, excite them and what can be a better excitement than Love and Relationship for us?
Recently only I faced myself struggling with the question, what love actually is? I always felt that love would be a very pleasant one, with everything quite sorted and alluring. I thought of it to be carefree, untroubled and radiant. But what I faced instead were a huge bundle of insecurities, constant feeling of being taken for granted, being forgotten and weariness of the relationship.
This all made me wonder, if he really loved me or let alone ever liked me either?
There are few things that one needs to keep in mind while being in a relationship, I surmise. At Least that is what I have inculcated by witnessing some cases recently.

IS THE RELATIONSHIP WORTH SAVING?
Okay, so we are in love and we are overly attached to our Mr./Ms. Right. But do they retaliate with the same? Do they also feel strongly enough? You care a lot about them (to such an extent that even your WhatsApp wallpaper flaunts their snap!) but to they care about you too? Even half of what you do? You feel the urge to talk to them over call, at least once a day. But do they face the same immense longing for your voice? You feel like meeting them up, at least once a week. But do they face such covet for you too?
And if the answer to all these questions is a NO, then the relationship is already dead. You're just dragging the coffins.

LOOK THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD NOT THE REARVIEW MIRROR
The most important thing in a relationship is to let go of each other's past. Whatever they had before you, you should not be bothered by it as long as it does not affect your present or future. His/Her ex, the love that they smeared, the kind of relationship the had is not something related to your life or business. So, just stop digging up the deads! And if you can't do the same then congratulations, you people are going to end up soon.

LEARN TO COMPROMISE
In any kind of relationship, compromise is the base. It serves as the roots, lays the foundation. It plays a pivotal role in a relationship. But, compromises need to surface from both the ends. Compromises can be in diverse notions. Like - your favorite movie, favorite place, favorite dish, favorite book and sometimes they can even lead to homicide of your wishes and interests to keep your guy/girl happy.
But remember, If you find yourself always giving in to your loved one's needs, big or small, it's time to have a talk.

COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY
Talk, talk and talk. The most important thing in a relationship is to commute with each other. No matter how big or small a matter may seem, there's nothing that a conversation cannot cure. Decide on a calm and quite place, sit together and talk your heart out. Don't let the small talks to build up.
But of course, you cannot clap by using just one hand. Both of the partners should be interested to talk, to straighten out the muddle or else there's a visible end approaching. Understand each other's needs. Dont be too soft but neither should one be too hard. Relationships are like an elastic band, the more you pull its ends apart, the more will it hurt when you'll leave the ends later.

EVEN IF YOUR LOVE IS ROCK SOLID, YOUR LOVED ONES SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN FOR GRANTED
Whose parents don't pamper them? Who is not treated with love among his peers? And then when one gets oneself a boyfriend or a girlfriend, this need increases to some other elevation altogether. One certainly needs to be mature and practical, but relationships don't run on the fuel of practicalness. You need to be a little emotional and sensitive to the requisites and desires of your consort. You cannot take them for granted. For a girl a very important thing, never toy with a guy's ego and on the part of guy, never gambol with a girl's heart.

One cannot fool the other individual with this thought of love for long and just remember when the curtains will be drawn from the reality, you cannot even in your wildest dreams picture how anguished and shattered the other person will be left to your dismay.
I guess this is what Taylor Swift wrote 'Blank Space' for.
She is right, nowadays love's a game which most of us want to play! :)
